Drainfield Installation

Drainfield and Leach Field Installation in Conroe

The drainfield is where treated effluent finally returns to the soil, and it is the part of a septic system most likely to fail when it is undersized. Spazioxyz builds gravel trench and plastic chamber fields across the Conroe area, laid out from a soil percolation test so the ground can absorb the flow without surfacing or backing up. Homes near Grand Central Park and River Plantation all sit on soil that needs this kind of careful sizing.

Why Drainfields Fail in Gulf Coast Soil

Clay drains slowly, and heavy rain raises the seasonal water table until a shallow field has nowhere to send its water. When the required four feet of separation to that water table is gone, effluent pushes back toward the surface. We size the absorption area from the real perc rate, and where a conventional field will not pass, we move to a chamber system or an engineered mound instead.

Our Process

We start with the soil evaluation, then design the trenches or chambers to the approved layout and pull the permit through the county health department. We set the distribution box so flow splits evenly across every lateral, lay washed gravel or gravelless chambers over filter fabric, and backfill to positive grade so rain runs off the field near a street like League Line Road rather than pooling on it.
